According to the draft of new regulations amending the act on the national cybersecurity system, sectoral cybersecurity teams will also become CSIRTs - so-called sectoral CSIRTs. Their competences will be slightly smaller than the NASK/GOV/MON CSIRTs, but they will also have their share in building the cybersecurity system in Poland. Such a sectoral CSIRT will be created by the minister responsible for a given sector of the economy.
What else will change in the functioning of CSIRTs?
The novelty is the introduction of the institution of B2C Email Lists security assessment to the act . Each of the above-described CSIRTs, including the sectoral CSIRT, may conduct a security assessment of IT systems used by entities of the national cybersecurity system. This assessment consists of conducting security tests of the information system in order to identify the vulnerabilities of this system.
